CSR. Corporate Social Responsibility

At Snel, social responsibility translates to paying the appropriate attention to employees, respecting our environment, and continually investing in our production facilities so that we can continue to serve our customers well.

Our staff ensures the craftsmanship that we can offer our customers. It therefore goes without saying that we invest heavily in training them, both internally and externally. A lot of training is ‘on the job’; that is, under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Whenever possible, we give performance and growth potential room to grow. The organization is characterized by a high degree of involvement and a no-nonsense work attitude.

Since our work requires physical effort, we pay a lot of attention to the health and long-term employability of our staff. This leads to a focus on safety and vitality at work, for instance by offering a corporate chair massage program and a walk-in hour with a physiotherapist every two weeks. 

In terms of the environment, we not only guarantee compliance with relevant laws and regulations, but we also seek ecological relief, for example, by extensive separation of waste streams. For maximum reusability of the waste material, we separate folding carton and corrugated cardboard. Much attention is paid to the use of biodegradable window film and adhesives. The expertise we have built up in this area is of great benefit to our customers. It is of course our goal to minimize energy consumption, for example by making maximum use of residual heat, LED lighting and smart systems such as the internal transport of boxes to the palletising stations.
