On October 7th the 2020 Carton E-vent took place. During this livestream event the winners of this years European Carton Excellence Award were announced. In total 25 entries were shortlisted.

Snel was the winner of the Innovation Award, with the entry of a tray for strawberries, berries and raspberries. A special feature of the tray is the flexible construction of the bottom, due to a special (patented) die cut profile. The cardboard tray replaces many thousands of plastic trays with pads.

It is Snel’s third participation in Europe’s most prestigious competition for cartonboard packaging, as well as the third time the jury recognizes the required craftmanship and innovation of the entry by awarding a prize.

Recognition goes out to the partners in this project, such as Smurfit Kappa, Anderling, Fonkels and Van Herk.
